The built-in ionizer cleans the air by generating negative ions that attract positively charged airborne allergens (such as pollen, dust, mold spores, smoke & pet dander) and removes them from the air. After just a few days of working in the office space with the light installed I noticed when I was in the room I wasn't coughing like I had been.  And I also noticed the dust on my desk wasn't collecting as quickly. I didn't even know something like this existed! We've been searching for an affordable air purifier that would work for all three of our kids (who have two separate rooms) with no luck. Not only do we need a nightlight for our youngest's room, it would also solve the air purifier issue! Awesome!
